ugly christmas sweaters?

The newest additions to my shop are extra festive — two Santa Claus sweaters have been added, and they’re super warm, heavy, and cozy for all the cold days heading our way!

Both of them are sewn from thrifted cotton blankets and they have a true classic Christmas™ vibe to them.

The first one is super vintage-y with this doll-like Santa, holly down the front, and gold/black/white fringe.

The second one is super heavy cotton, making it perfect for the coldest days of winter! The red/green/white trim was combed out and trimmed by yours truly.

Making sweaters like these are the reason that I bought a new sewing machine — I got the SINGER Heavy Duty 4452, so it’s made for sewing thick, heavy material.

I’m excited to give it a go, especially since it came with a “walking foot” (which I only just learned about!), which I think will make my life a lot easier.

I found a woman on YouTube who has an entire playlist of videos with tutorials for every feature of this exact sewing machine, so I’m grateful to not have to figure out all the special pieces on my own.

as a little treat, here’s the newest Franklin the chipmunk update — follow me on YouTube to see more of his cute little face!
